Terry Stafford

In the practice room, this is his oasis, his sanctuary. There’s nothing to distract from the incredible sound of that perfect guitar and the detailed, responsive song of a tube amp running hot. This is where he comes to sharpen his chops, jam to favorite songs or just get lost in the music.
Terry has been playing guitar for over 34 years. Born in Ohio, Terry traveled and lived in 25 states across the US. In 1993, Terry made North Carolina home to take a position as Executive Chef at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. (So naturally he is the band Chef!)
His roots are deeply seeded in Gospel/Bluegrass/Country. Terry's first exposure to live music was through his uncle who led a regionally known Gospel/Bluegrass band in the early 1970’s, and through his mucisian father. Terry has been performing ever since.
He has had the pleasure of performing with Mickey Gilley, Gene Watson, Jerry Rainwater and Pure Prairie League, among others.
